The Restaurant business is named "Lola Cela’s Secret Recipes", the name came from my late grandmother who established the small Carenderia way back 1980’s. She was known as a very good Chef in diffident villages in our City. And mostly people are inviting her in a different occasion like Fiesta, Birthday, and Wedding etc. And by that time I was her little assistant, even though I don’t like to go with her in that kind of occasion, and I ask my mom why me is the one who need to go with her every time, even though I have 2 siblings elder than me? Then my mom will said that I am the favorite granddaughter even I know it was a joke. But in the end I have to go with her because she was old and need someone to be with her always. And fortunately I was the lucky one. My grandma thought me a lot especially when it comes for cooking, and even we argue a lot because I was still young and I don’t understand her sometimes. But the experience and memories that I had with her I can say that it’s very valuable for me. Now I can apply all of that to start my own business like she was did before. Because after she pass away no one in our family continue her legacy. So I think this is my time now to continue whatever she started before. I always remember her every time people praising her food and asking what is her “secret”? She will just smile and tell them that if I’m going to tell you that then it’s no longer a “secret”. Then they will continue laughing. That simple memories make me smile every time I remember her. You can make the people happy by serving the food that you cook with all your heart. And that is the one thing I am going to do “Cook with passion and with Heart”.
